Jamf Connect/OneLogin Mac Lockout Loop
Mac will lock a local user account due to incorrect password attempts. This mostly occurs around the time a password change occurs. The Mac does not indicate the account is locked which is why the issue persists and users do not know what to do.
When this happens Onelogin will loop and continually bring the user back to the log in screen when attempting login. When logging in via local login the password will shake as if it is incorrect.
Two resolutions exist for this issue:
In person an admin will locally login and in settings under users and groups reset the users password. Have the user type in their current OneLogin password. After this, log out of admin and have the user try logging in through Onelogin again. This will override and unlock the local account and they will be able to get in via OneLogin and locally.
In Jamf search for the computer the user is locked out of. Find user under users category and select manage. Under manage unlock the user account. The user will be able to log in via OneLogin and locally after this. See images below.
