Symplicity Residence Login Issue Walk-through
We have two major issues going on:
- students used the wrong login link to access Residence and got "no user found" error.
- after students logged in Residence for the 1st time, they changed the default MMC email address on file inside Residence to their personal ones which subsequently blocked them from logging in for the 2nd time.
Specifically, one student was able to log in but got "no user found" error. I went in Residence system and saw her record is there. So the issue is she probably used the wrong login link to access Residence. As a soft reminder, the login links for staff/mangers vs. residence applicants are different.

Below is the screenshot when a person opens the link above. For residence applicants, they need to click "Resident" icon highlighted below. If they click any other links, they will get "no user found" error.
For another student, the issue is she changed the "default e-mail address" on her application from MMC email to her personal one. The next time she tried log in, she couldn't access Residence since we are using single sign-on authentication and the MMC email on her profile is tied to the login process. So changing that email will result in login errors. I went ahead and updated her personal email back to MMC email so she should be able to log in again now.
