Can't Login on a Mac?
RE: Are you having trouble at the Mac Login screen?
If you receive a prompt at the login screen like the image below, simply type in your Previous/OLD password.
You are receiving this prompt because you had first signed into the computer using previous password and had probably changed it somewhat recently. Keep trying and click on the sync button.
If by chance you don't remember your password, reach out to mactech@mmm.edu with the computer name and the username you are trying to login as.
We will reset the local password for your remotely and provide you a temporary password (please allow up to 15 min for this temp password to update on the local computer).
Once you receive your temporary password, input the temporary password in the login prompt in the above image.
Once you're in the system, there is nothing you need to do after that. Your latest MMC credentials will sync down to the computer and you should be able to login normally thereafter.
There’s also a time-out (application sleep) that happens if the Mac login window sits too long. The time-out produces an error when users are trying to log in, even with with correct credentials. The best way around this is make it a habit to REFRESH the window (wake the JAMF Connect application up) before logging in.
